Rape In Marriage
Dear Heavenly Father hear my cries,
My fragile spirit suffers and dies.
From a secret I carry in shame,
Of life so filled with torture and pain.
Through blood and tears the violence tells,
Of fear so great that terror swells
For one who shared the marrieage vows,
Does forcefully take what nature allows.
This once holy union created for sharing in life,
Has turned to anger spent on me his wife.
Through tears I beg, In fear I plead
With cruelty he answers, mopping up his need.
So please dear Lord give me the courage
To heal and grow, break free this bondage.
As I ask only for dignity and respect
And gentle love given in mutual consent.
